for your perfect outfit
I love making clothes that really fit and flatter my clients. After measuring you  I can make a garment with perfect fit. You can choose quality fabric and feel special wearing your one-off item. Altering may be an option if you find a bargain in the wrong size. When a jacket is too baggy it can be taken in, sleeves can be reshaped or shortened. A small alteration can make a world of difference and refresh your oufit. My most common alteration has been to lift the shoulder seam on dresses and jackets. Browse my website and get a taste of my personal dressmaking, get some ideas, look at my price guide - I like to think that the detail of the make, my personal service, the quality material and the fit will give you excellent value and satisfaction. The photo above shows a vintage dress that I altered and for which I made a belt.

MY COVID-19 PROCEDURES BEFORE YOU MAKE A VISIT Cleaning I will ensure that the areas you contact have been cleaned before and after your visit. Ventilation I will open windows to maintain an adequate air flow. WHEN VISITING Contact On your arrival I will open doors to minimise contact by you. I will ask clients to use hand sanitiser on entry to my house. I will use hand sanitiser but not wear gloves. Facemasks I request that all clients wear a face mask and will not admit those without. I will wear a face mask and shield. Social distancing We will both maintain social distancing wherever possible. Items left here after a fitting will be bagged up and remain untouched for 72 hours, as per WHO recommendations. Toilet facilities are not available to clients. SUMMER AND AUTUMN FITTINGS I am using our small conservatory for fittings. This is accessed down the drive past the front door round to the garden. The conservatory has window blinds to give complete privacy and is heated. TEST AND TRACE I need contact details for clients  and will give each client a form to fill in. I use a QR code. Forms will be kept as paper records for 28 days. I will ask clients if they have any symptoms or been in contact with anybody who has. If they have we will reshedule the appointment in line with HMG self isolation requirements. Covid symptoms include a high temperature, recent continous cough, and a change in your sense of smell and taste. By signing my covid form at the fitting, you are giving your consent for your details to be passed on request to the NHS test and trace service for up to 21 days after an appointment. Following GDPR guidelines your details will not be used by any other parties. ALTERATIONS If no fitting is required then alterations such as shortenings and mending can be posted or delivered to my door. Details of the job must be discussed beforehand by phone or email. PAYMENTS All payments will need to be by BACS . I will request a small non refundable deposit on larger jobs. Thank you for all your help in maintaining the highest possible levels of safety during these strange times. We help each other by following these procedures.
My covid-19 safe working practises have been produced following the latest World Health Organisation and UK Government guidelines for working during the covid-19 outbreak. They will be reviewed regularly and updated when necessary. LAST UPDATED  13.10.2020
